Eliza Fowler

Juniors

Hi, I’m Eliza, and I’m so excited to join the florincey flock in 2024.

I started calisthenics in 2007 and have been a competitor for 17 years. I have experienced many different things and am now in the senior premier division. I love being in a team environment that makes everyone feel like their best version. I have competed up to grade 4 in skills and competed in the graceful solo section. My favourite item to compete in is march, and my favourite item to coach is free arm!

I began my coaching journey in 2020 as a helper in the sub-junior section. I then became a level 1 qualified coach last year in October. Over my time as a coach, I have taught solos, teams and skills. I am very excited to broaden my knowledge in a new age section and develop new skills alongside some talented and experienced coaches.

Outside of calisthenics… is more calisthenics! There never seems to be a downtime when your whole life revolves around this sport, and I love it that way! I enjoy reading and playing video games when I have spare time.

I am very excited to join the juniors coaching team at Florincey. I pride myself on being a positive role model and hope to instil many great qualities into the performers.

Can’t wait to meet you all!

Coach Helpers

Tiarna Owen

Tinies Level 1 Helper

Hello, my name is Tiarna,

I have been a part of the calisthenics community for 15 years now. I have competed with my local club since 2013, In that time, I have participated in both physi and graceful solos throughout the years and was able to have the opportunity of travelling interstate to New Zealand to compete in my solo division there.

I have assisted in many roles in my past years, including sub-juniors and junior age groups, and I am excited to grow further within Florincey.

I became a qualified level 1 coach in 2022, have taken on coaching a few soloists of my own, and helped co-coach the juniors’ age division.

I love calisthenics as it’s a place I can be creative and meet lots of new people. My favourite item is clubs or rods, as I enjoy the difficulty and challenge of these items. I am so excited to join Florincey in 2024!

IVY DAFF

tinies + SUBBIES

Ivy is one of our Tinies and Subbies helpers and cannot wait to share her love for calisthenics. It began in 2010 at a local club, and in 2019, she moved to a championship club, where she has been for the past 4 years.

She has competed in the open section for both calisthenics and graceful solos and believes that there is no better feeling than being on stage. In 2018 and 2020 Ivy represented Victoria in the State Team, where she won nationals in Canberra. Ivy is so thankful for the state team as it allowed her to work with amazing coaches, make friends for life, and compete at the highest level.

Ivy loves calisthenics because it provides her a place to be herself and share her love for the sport. Ivy is beyond excited for 2024 and can’t wait for all the new adventures ahead.

We are so excited to have Ivy inspiring our Tinies and Subbies and bringing her talent and passion to our members.

SYDNEY WICKSTIEN

TINIES

Sydney started calisthenics when she was 3 years old. She has many special memories with her calisthenics friends from classes, camps, competitions, birthday parties, and hanging out.

So far, her highlight has been winning the National Championships when she was part of the Victorian State sub-junior team in 2019. In 2021, Sydney won all her calisthenic solo competitions, including the State Titles for her section.

Sydney is excited to help with the Florincey tinies because it’s a new opportunity for her to share how much fun calisthenics can be.

JAZ PICCIOLI

Subbies Level 1 Helper

i’m Jaz, and I’m super excited to join the Florincey coaching team in 2024!

I have been competing in calisthenics for 15+ years and have been a class helper/assistant since 2016. I recently completed my level 1 accreditation and am excited to grow as a coach in 2024 with the beautiful Florincey subbies.

I am a youth worker, and when not participating in anything calisthenics-related, you’ll find me spending time outdoors with my puppy, participating in mindfulness, or relaxing with my loved ones!

I am most excited to meet the team and watch them personally grow and flourish as the year goes on, watching them achieve goals both on and off the stage. I’m so excited about what the new year has in store, and I can’t wait to get stuck into it!

Mia Flanagan

Subbies

Florincey Calisthenics Club is excited to present another of our Subbies Helpers, Mia Flanagan!

Mia’s calisthenics journey started 11 years ago when she moved from Ireland to Australia, where she instantly fell in love with the sport from the first twist of a rod, and she has been performing ever since. Mia competes at the championship level as a Senior and is an asset to her team. Each year, she competes in team and solo competitions, and Mia is currently performing in the Senior Open Reserve Calisthenics Solo section.

Mia has a deep passion for calisthenics not only because it allows her to be strong and confident, but it has given her lifelong friends and built a community in which she always feels welcome. Mia is excited for 2024 to continue her coaching journey and be a part of the Florincey family, where she hopes to pass on her love of calisthenics to others.

Mia will be an excellent addition to our coaching team, and we look forward to watching her develop into an amazing coach!

EMMA KENNER

Juniors Level 1 Helper

Emma Kenner is our Junior Cadet/Foundation Coach, eager to pass on her passion and love for calisthenics. She enjoys instilling confidence in every student and celebrating their individual achievements throughout the year. Whether it be mastering a difficult movement, improving their overall technique or perfecting their performance within a team. She loves seeing the excitement and sense of accomplishment when dancers achieve their goals.

Emma is currently an Australian Calisthenics Federation Cadet, to achieve Level 1 accreditation early in 2024. She has previous experience assisting with tots, tinies, subbies, juniors, skills levels and solos.

Emma started calisthenics at 3 years of age and has over 20 years experience. She recently returned to the sport when joining the Florincey Masters in 2023. Her favourite items are clubs and aesthetics.

Emma has previously competed at a championship level, represented Victoria at Nationals 8 times with multiple aggregates, completed grade 4 skill levels, and competed in physics and graceful solos.

Emma has also been given the opportunity to represent calisthenics to the wider community, showcasing the sport in Moomba Parades, Victorian Basketball + Netball championships at Rod Laver Arena and Cricket at the MCG.

Outside of calisthenics, Emma is a dedicated podiatrist with a special interest in sports injury prevention and rehabilitation. She focuses on improving intrinsic foot muscle strength and ankle stability with her patients, especially dancers. This goes hand in hand with her love of calisthenics.

Emma is thrilled to be part of the Florincey Calisthenics Club Juniors coaching team for 2024. She especially looks forward to meeting all the girls and working with them to achieve their personal best.

As a Somerville local and foundation member, Emma is proud to be involved with Florincey CC and looking forward to what 2024 may bring.

Holly Boothby

Juniors

Holly is one of our Juniors helpers and has wanted to coach for as long as she has done calisthenics. She has previously assisted in both Tinies and Subbies and loved every minute of it. Holly has been dancing since she was 3, but at age 7, she decided to give calisthenics a go.

She has achieved to grade 5 in Cechetti Ballet and Jazz, has been accepted and completed dance programs such as Dance Prescription and has successfully competed in many solos in dance and calisthenics. Holly competes as a senior at a championship club, which she loves.

Still, some of the highlights of her calisthenics career have been representing Victoria twice in their State team in 2015 and 2017 and going on to win Nationals on both occasions. Holly loves all aspects of calisthenics, but her favourite item is rhythmical aesthetics because she gets to use expression and put her heart into her dancing.

She loves the friendships, support, confidence and determination the sport has given her. She thinks there is no better feeling than being a proud cali girl and performing with her teammates and friends on the stage, making her coaches, club, and, at times, her entire state proud!

We are so proud to have Holly onboard, inspiring our performers!

Zara Collett

Juniors

Zara started calisthenics in Tinies at a local club on the peninsula after being introduced to the sport by a family friend.  When Zara’s family moved to New Zealand, she was fortunate to join Roar Calisthenics Academy - the first-ever international calisthenics club!

Zara continued her career internationally and led the way in New Zealand, inspiring many new pupils to take up the sport.  Zara performed and volunteered at the NZ Cali Competition and was amazed at all the competitors travelling across Australia - including Zoe!  This is where Zara met Zoe, and their relationship was formed.

Once back in Melbourne, Zara joined a championship club and competed as an Inter.  Zara has many favourite Cali memories but loved being Cat in “Cat in the Hat” in Tinies. She says the felt ‘felt so grown up!’. Zara loves all disciplines of the sport and is passionate about conveying this love to our Florincey club girls.

Zara believes the best thing about Cali is all the friends you make and being able to set challenges and grow each year as a performer.

We thank Zara for her commitment to Florincey Calisthenics Club, and we cannot wait to watch her grow!
